Originally released in 1999, the Air Flightposite One was like nothing else on the market. It’s Foamposite upper molded to conform to the wearer’s foot to give a near customized fit, with the one drawback being the material being a bit weighty.
In 2025 the “Black”, one of the Flightposite I’s original colorway will finally make its long-awaited return.
We should be presented with a Flightposite One that features a black Foamposite upper partnered with a zippered, Swoosh-clad black Neoprene sleeve with a branded Velcro enclosure. A white Swoosh should appear on the rear heel, while the pull tab reads “FLIGHTPOSITE”.
Underneath the double-lasted upper should reside Zoom and Nike Air cushioning in the forefoot and heel, respectively as, well as a black rubber outsole.
As it currently stands, the “Black” Nike Air Flightposite I, is planned to come back in the spring of 2025, sporting a somewhat lofty, 240 USD sticker price.
